Light-Duty Filament Tape for Bundling, Reinforcing & Palletizing

3M Tartan 8934 Utility Filament Tape is a general-purpose, glass-reinforced packaging tape designed for light-duty strapping, bundling, reinforcing, box closing, and pallet unitizing applications.

Continuous glass yarn filaments provide high tensile strength for securing and reinforcing packages while helping minimize the amount of tape required. The clear biaxially oriented polypropylene film backing helps protect the reinforcing filaments and adhesive while providing resistance to abrasion and moisture during handling, storage, and shipment.

A pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber resin adhesive provides good initial adhesion and shear strength with minimal rubdown. 3M 8934 bonds well to common packaging materials including fiberboard, plastics, and metal surfaces, making it a versatile choice for everyday industrial packaging and warehouse applications.

With a total tape thickness of approximately 4 mil and tensile strength of approximately 100 lb/in, 3M 8934 provides economical reinforced holding strength for light-duty applications that do not require a heavier filament tape.

The transparent construction allows package graphics, printing, labels, and illustrations to remain visible through the tape.
