General Purpose Flatback Tape for Splicing, Bundling & Packaging

3M 2517 Flatback Tape is a general purpose industrial tape designed for splicing liner boards, roll tabbing, core starting, bundling, holding, and package sealing applications. Its durable kraft paper backing provides good strength while remaining easy to tear by hand for convenient application.

A rubber adhesive provides high initial tack and dependable holding power, including in cooler temperature conditions. The kraft paper backing resists moist conditions and is suitable for both hand application and machine dispensing.

3M 2517 Flatback Tape can withstand a bake cycle up to 300°F (149°C) for 30 minutes, making it suitable for applications where temporary exposure to elevated temperatures is required. The tape has a total thickness of approximately 6.5 mil and is supplied in a medium brown color.
