3M 8919MSR High-Strength Filament Tape is an industrial reinforced tape designed for securing appliance parts, bundling and wrapping heavy-gauge metals, and other demanding applications requiring very high tensile strength and strong adhesion to oily surfaces.

Continuous glass yarn filaments provide exceptional reinforcement, high impact resistance, and low stretch under stress. The heavy polyester film backing provides added stiffness while helping protect the reinforcing filaments and adhesive from abrasion, moisture, scuffing, nicks, and punctures during manufacturing, handling, storage, and shipping.

A pressure-sensitive modified synthetic rubber resin adhesive provides strong initial adhesion, high shear strength, and dependable holding power on metal surfaces, including oily metals. The adhesive is also designed to allow easier removal without excessive adhesive residue or staining on many finishes, making 3M 8919MSR particularly useful for temporarily securing appliance doors and other movable components during manufacturing and shipment.

With a total tape thickness of approximately 7 mil and tensile strength of approximately 380 lb/in, 3M 8919MSR provides very high holding strength for industrial applications while helping reduce the amount of tape required.

The transparent tape can also be printed using the Print-Seal process for identification, warnings, or other printed information.
