High-Temperature Flatback Tape for Splicing & Masking

3M 2525 Performance Flatback Tape is a high-strength industrial tape designed for holding, splicing, masking, roll starting, roll closure, and other applications requiring dependable adhesion, strong backing, and resistance to elevated temperatures.

The natural rubber adhesive provides high initial tack and dependable holding power, while the durable flat stock paper backing offers excellent strength and resistance to moist conditions. The tape can be torn by hand for convenient application and is also suitable for machine dispensing.

3M 2525 Performance Flatback Tape can withstand a bake cycle up to 300°F (149°C) for one hour, making it well suited for high-temperature splicing and paint masking applications. Its orange backing provides high visibility and can be easily detected by sensing equipment.

With a total thickness of approximately 9.5 mil, 3M 2525 provides a heavier, stronger construction for demanding industrial applications where adhesion strength and backing strength are important.

3M 2525 is not recommended for outdoor applications or prolonged exposure to sunlight because extended exposure may make the tape difficult to remove.
